"Digital" is the catchall descriptive. Anything that's not on paper is digital. Specs change from one placement to the next. When creating digital media, think through all uses. Keep the files adaptable.
Print is tangible, something to hold, and feel. No computers or screens. Just pick it up. How does the piece look and feel? It can stand-alone or be a gateway to your digital presence
Packaging
Every product benefits from good packaging design. Maintaining branding standards and consistency across a product line will make your products easily identifiable and promote customer familiarty, loyalty, and engagement.
Outdoor
Size matters. Outdoor displays are viewed very quickly, from a distance. You've got seconds to get your idea across. You need "The Big Picture." Make it count with just a glance.
Preflight
Preflight is where every, fine, little detail is double checked. Dimensions. elements. resolutions, color space. profiles. copy, charts. graphs.vector art. fonts, logos, brand standards, spreads. imposition. media, and final output. Last chance to check every detail before release.
Workflow Management
This is that same page to keep everybody on. Set timelines. Know the touch-points. Who's in which role. Keep the client in the loop. Manage expectations. Answer all questions encountered. Settle issues when you have the job. Don't pass them off to the next tier.
Team Dynamics
Open communication from every team member to every other team member makes a team dynamic, effective, and productive. Use all of your resources. Respect everyone's input. Good ideas can come from anywhere. The team's work isn't done until the client says, "I love it." That's a win for the everyone on the team.
